Campus Resources

Sometimes you need help outside of academics. There are plenty of places at IUB that are excellent resources for students. You are also advised to meet with the EALC undergraduate advisor Ania Peczalska so she can also help you quickly find resources that would best suit your individualized needs.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

Students experiencing mental or psychological difficulties in college are encouraged to go to Counseling and Psychological Services. Trained counselors help students with a variety of issues varying from depression to dealing with college to relationship issues. Walk-ins are available Monday-Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm.

Sexual Assault Crisis Service 

The Sexual Assault Crisis Service provides services for students or any other IU community member that have been sexually assaulted. Services include an opportunity to talk with a professional counselor on a  24 hour crisis line (for free), group and individual counseling, and having the center talk to organization on campus about bystander intervention, self-defense, and sexual communication.

Adult Student Services

For non-traditional college students Adult Students Services offers information on how to succeed at Indiana University Bloomington, family friendly resources, scholarships, a new student checklist, and events especially for non-traditional college students.

Office for Women’s Affairs

The Office for Women’s Affairs offers a variety of resources for female students, including scholarships, information on child care while at IUB, and a list of student female organizations. The office also organizes events and workshops throughout the year.

Veteran Support Services

Veteran Support Services provides military students with help with veteran’s benefits and eligibility, starting at IUB, and any other student or military resources they might need at IUB.

Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Student Support Services

Resources and support for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) students as well as information about GLBT are available on this website.

Alcohol-Drug Information Center

Students with questions or concerns about alcohol or drugs are encouraged to contact this center. The Center offers a library of materials on alcohol and drugs, gives educational presentations, performs referrals, and also has the opportunity for students to become Peer Advocates and help other students better understand alcohol and drugs.
